No Drugs Implication Life (NDIL) is a Non-Profit Organization & center for Human Development which affiliated by UNDCP (United Nations Drug Control Program), CONGO (The Conference of NGOs with Consultative relationship with the United Nations), WFAD & IHRA. NDIL gives multi focus Rehabilitation in Drugs/HIV/AIDS/Narcotics prevention, awareness & treatment, Weeding of poor & distressed girls, Adult & common education, health, disaster & climate change environmental program, Human Rights, Disablities, Anti Child Labour program, Technical Education in Internet, Computer, Vocational Training, Skilled professional training and job in abroad. Bangladesh with a population of 170 million faces many challenges including drug that has become an issue due to its geographical location, poverty and illiteracy. Although there is no precise figure of the drug dependant people, but is estimated around 4.0 million people mostly youths are dependant to some from of drugs, and increased trend among all kinds of people is alarming. Comparing to this situation there is still very few treatment and rehabilitation facilities in the country. In the public Sector there is only one detoxification centre with 40 beds and, in the private sector few facilities with desired standard is inadequate to demand of drug treatment services. Moreover, the private sector is too costly for the drug users of the middle-class families and poor families can not even think of it.No Drugs Implication Life (NDIL), on this situation, has come forward for detection and treatment of the drug users. about more >>

drug addiction in bangladesh
Drug abuse directly influences the economic and social aspects of a country. In Bangladesh it is a growing national concern. There are millions of drug-addicted people in Bangladesh and most of them are young, between the ages of 18 and 30. And they are from all strata of the society. A recent epidemiological survey carried out in the three divisions of Bangladesh shows that the country is going to be transformed into a potential user of drugs with the rapid increase in the number of addicts.Drug addiction is not a recent problem in Bangladesh. But it has been rising. In recent years Drug Addiction has significantly increased in Bangladesh. This agent of human devastation has spread its tentacles worldwide and also in our country. Every intelligent and humane person in the world society and international organisations such as the UN and WHO are alarmed by the present rate of addiction.Nowadays nearly ten per cent of outpatients in our hospitals are cases of drug addiction involving heroin, ganja and phensidyl.These are generally youths and young men between 15-30 years of age and come from all strata of the society. But there are adolescents below 15 years of age and men and women over 30.Hospital surveys show that average age of drug addicts is 22. The addicts are students, professionals, businessmen, laborers, rickshpullers and from other professions.Students are the most affected and drugs have caused deterioration in standards of education and students have also given up going to schools and colleges. Even university’s professors are getting addicted recently.
